The Founder
Maroan looks back at a successful investment banking career for over 30 years. Starting his career with Credit Suisse in currency trading, moving on to derivatives structuring and capital markets, working for UBS and Deutsche Bank AG.
At the turn of the millennium, he worked for Goldman Sachs in London, covering Switzerland for capital markets and risk management, whilst working with the relevant industry M&A teams. 2004 he re-joined Deutsche Bank where he became the country head and General Manager of Deutsche Bank AG Frankfurt am Main, Zurich Branch. He oversaw corporate coverage and remained a key interface to some of the worlds largest industry corporations ranging from consumer nutrition to chemicals.
He pioneered several innovations in the Swiss capital markets by offering tailored financing solutions including Hybrid capital, Regulatory capital, and special purpose repackaging transactions.
After 17 years with Deutsche Bank, he left at the end of 2016, helped Keppler Cheuvreux Corporate Finance to build its Swiss franchise for two
years.
In 2019 he founded Maizar Advisory Services, a boutique focusing on financing, start-ups and mid-market companies as well as M&A.
